David had profound and multiple learning disabilities. He was wheelchair dependent and non-verbal. He could move his right hand purposefully but had difficulty using precise movements.

David could use his voice to vocalise to make a sound triggered app mimic him and he would find this very amusing. Most of the time though, David played the soundbeam extremely well by moving his right hand. He smiled and laughed for much of the time and he particularly enjoyed it when I played a different sound with the other sensor just as he was doing with his sensor. I think David appreciated that we were collaborating on the joint composition just as conventional musicians do. Our sessions were always extremely good fun.
